2009 Team Goals

• Establish an elite men’s road team
• Get more riders racing Cat 2
• Recruit new Cat 4 riders
• Continue to develop elite women’s team
• Focus more on road and cyclocross
• Increase sponsorship income
• Continue to develop grassroots and junior riders

Roster

For 2009 Local Ride Racing (LRR) has grown. The team has gone from a 6 man squad to 8, with riders ranging from category 4 to category 2. LRR has also been lucky enough to sign some women from the disbanded Giant Canada Team, allowing them to field a full women’s team for the first time. As much as the goal is to race at an elite level, LRR isn’t forgetting about development. Both men’s and women’s cyclocross junior provincial champions will be kitting up for Local Ride in 2009, plus Local Ride will continue it’s support of associate riders with hopes of feeding the elite teams.
