Can you believe it’s snowing again?!

Local Ride News — March 8, 2006

I guess we were thrown off by a few days of sunshine and called “Spring!” a little too early. Not to worry, the wind and sleet should die down by the end of the week and things will be back on track. Until then, we still have enough fenders, rain gear and waterproof panniers to keep you dry while you ride.

Weekly Specials
This week we have TWO hot deals. All ’05 Bell and Giro helmets are 30% off! Now that’s a good deal. There are tonnes of colours, styles and price points to choose from. The second special: All ’05 Shimano spinning shoes, regular price $159.95 now a smokin’ $79.95!

Featured Product
This week’s featured product is the Specialized EMT Mini Multi-Tool, the smallest, lightest multi-tool on the market. The EMT Mini features allen keys, a torx for discs, a phillips screwdriver and a chain tool in a compact package. It’s a great tool set to throw in your pocket and use for those unexpected trail or roadside emergencies.

Local Ride Racing Team
The Local Ride Racing Team had a great season kick-off last Sunday in Langley. Barry, Rob, Roy and Steve learned a lot as they braved the huge B Group pack of the first event of the Langley Spring Series. They’re back in action this Sunday as they battle Armstrong Hill 11 times in the 83-kilometre race.

Race the Ridge
Registration for Race the Ridge 2006, scheduled for April 29-30, is now available at Karleo.com. Entry into all three races (TT, crit and road race) is $75. Individual races cost $30 to register.
