After an absence of far too long we have discovered the website editor again!!! Where to start with updates since….April? Really? OK here we go….

Local Ride has added some serious power to our female ranks with the addition of free agent signing Jean Ann McKirdy, you can find her in the brick and blue on the podium of many upcoming Cyclocross races ;p

Speaking of Cross racing, Local Ride will also be hosting our very own BC Cup Cyclocross race which happens to be the BC Cup Finals on October 28, 2007. Check back for more details soon (if we can find the updater again).

Local Ride Racers have been ripping up the ashpalt this summer, Roy McBeth was hurting too many people in Cat 4/5 and has been moved to Cat 3, where he already has his first upgrade points for Cat 2! Congrats Roy, keep riding hard. Bike nut extrordinaire Steve Devantier paced himself to a 3rd place in the Annacis Island Crit and a 2nd place finish at the final Wentings Wednesday Nighter. At the Team Time Trial Local Ride (Steve, Mike Berkenpas, Robert Kipps & Barry) finished a close 2nd, vowing next year to take top spot.

On staffing news Sandra will be back in the shop at the end of September – hurry we miss you around here! Barry is off to Montreal for the bike expo. And finally the store will be closing for a couple of weeks in the fall for renovations.
