New Bikes and ‘Cross Racing
Things aren’t slowing down this fall at Local Ride. We have new bikes spiling in everyday, including some exciting new models from Giant, like their battery-assisted hybrid! Our race team riders are building momentum to peak for Local Ride’s BC Cup Pumpkin ‘Cross race on October 26. Last weekend they were out in force at the BC Cup in Vancouver’s New Brighton Park, with Maggie and Peter taking top honours in the U17 Women’s and Men’s categories, respectively. Way to do Local Ride proud!
Roy placed third in the Master Men’s race to defend his series lead, and Robbie placed 10th. Mike rode to fourth in the B Men’s race after crashing on the stairs with “deadly grace,” while Ryan took sixth and Andrew 25th. Steve went up against the top men to finish a respectable 15th in the A Men’s race.
